Traditional job-agency models created friction on both sides. Candidates had little visibility and almost no control over who saw their details, while recruiters spent heavy effort sifting mass applications through an inefficient engagement model. The objective was a privacy-first talent marketplace that improves relevance, candidate control and recruiter efficiency.
Aconic built a privacy-first recruitment platform around four ideas: an anonymous candidate pool, ranked talent discovery, candidate-controlled disclosure of personal details, and a credit-based engagement model for recruiters.
The hiring flow runs from job brief to hire in five steps: describe the role, get a blind shortlist, invite in bulk, the candidate accepts, hire. Candidates only reveal who they are when they choose to accept an invitation, so privacy is built into the workflow rather than added as a setting.
The platform shipped as one unified product experience across desktop and mobile. Delivery was 30% faster with 25% better cost efficiency, alongside stronger governance through better risk management and regulatory compliance, shorter release cycles, and faster, more reliable experiences for end users.
